Who, what and why

Live as though you'll die tomorrow

but farm as though you'll live forever.

Little Oak Farm was bought in 2012. Plans for it developed gradually and we moved onto the land in the early spring of 2018,  starting then to build our farm.   Living here - there's me - Mary, and also Dan.

My 2 sons,  Joe and Nico, both live near by and are frequent visitors.

And quite a lot of the time there are wwoofers!  Wwoofers are volunteers who work part time on your farm in return for full board and lodging and also a degree of tuition, experience and introduction to local culture.  If you want to come and stay and join in see www.wwoof.org.uk,  or just get in touch!

Living on, with and from the land is fundamental to our beings.

Having the opportunity to be here, doing this, and looking after the land properly is both a privilege and a big responsibility - trying to get it right and do as little harm as possible.

So the farm is run in accordance with organic principles, fossil fuel usage is kept to a bare minimum and the animals are kept in conditions as close as possible to those they would choose for themselves.
